Shaping West Sussex - Your Councils are Changing

The future of local government in West Sussex - Residents' Survey ends 13th August. Major changes are planned to councils across West Sussex as part of the biggest shake-up of local government in more than 50 years.

Published: 18 July 2025

The Government has asked councils to explore how local government reorganisation could work in the area, with the aim of replacing the current county, district and borough councils with a new unitary council or councils responsible for all local services.

Residents, businesses and community groups across the county are invited to share their views about where they live or work, the council services they use, as well as their thoughts about how their council could be structured in the future.

The  survey will be open until 11.59pm on Wednesday 13 August 2025.
